ESRA re-opening details

After a lot of preparation and consideration, we have re-opened our doors to clients in Hastings for 3 days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays).

Numbers will be limited and people will be turned away when we are full. This will be done on a first come, first served basis with no appointments necessary.

Cafe North will re-open at a later date.

IMPORTANT: Please do not come to ESRA if you have any of the following symptoms: a high temperature, a new and continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste. Instead contact the NHS Helpline on 111 and follow their advice. In the meantime, please isolate yourself to protect others.

Please also do not come to ESRA if you have been outside the UK in the last 14 days.

Two sessions a day

The morning session in Hastings will run from 10am to 12 noon. The afternoon session will run from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. We will be doing an all-day breakfast. Clients will be able to have something to eat on arrival, followed by a facilitated recovery group afterwards. ESRA staff will ensure that the premises are properly cleaned and sanitised between sessions in line with all government Covid guidance.

One to ones

Individual support sessions will resume in Hastings next week. Our support workers will schedule appointments directly with the clients concerned.

What to expect

Clients will be expected to sanitise their hands on arrival and to provide a phone number for track and trace purposes. Everyone will be expected to maintain social distancing at all times. Masks can be worn, but they are not mandatory. Clients will be expected to do what is asked of them while they are at ESRA, and to understand that things may feel very different to normal.

Please read this important notice before attending ESRA.

Safety first

Safety of staff, volunteers and clients has been our focus in recent weeks. We now have the necessary santitiser stations, screens and signage to comply with government requirements and to keep everyone safe. We have been able to do this with Sussex Partnership and Lottery funding.

It is important for all ESRA clients to know that we have installed a new CCTV system in Hastings with cameras in reception, the cafe, the den, and in the corridor. This has been done with safeguarding in mind.

ESRA art still to be collected

Anyone who attended art classes at ESRA in Hastings is invited to come and collect any of their own work next week on Monday September 14th, Wednesday September 16th or Friday September 18th). Anyone can pop in on those days to fetch their work. Any art that is not collected will not be kept.

Any questions?
